Review on ZAITOE 8194001 Dishwasher Door Balance Link Kit Replacement for Whirlpool - Part W10158291,1059756, 8194001VP,AP3775412 by Josh Zuvers

This is the first spring link to break in my decades of owning dishwashers. I opened the door, the spring "cocked" and the door swung open - hard! Creepy. Thought the spring was broken. When I pulled the dishwasher out from under the counter, I saw that only one of the nylon cords had snapped. Why did I receive this kit and not one of the others listed on Revain? Because even though they are all listed as part number 8194001, this picture shows that the ears on the nylon earbud have been bent at a 45 degree angle (where the nylon cord runs). It matched what I have in my dishwasher. Photos from some other sets show a straight earbud, and some other reviews said the nylon cords in their sets were shorter than the original. I dont know. All I know is that I have a 2002 KitchenAid with the original part #8270022 (it's molded into the side of the headphone) and this kit #8194001 fits as an OEM. The angle of the ear was the same and the length of the nylon rope was the same. My dishwasher door works perfectly. In fact, it works better than before. The door no longer creaks when I open it. Obviously this earbud failed for a while (and rubbed against the door side) and finally failed when the last bit of the end broke through.
