Lovely soft velvety cream color with drawstring at the back. The ball cage has the diameter of a nickel. It's a kind of silver plated metal, more like jewelry than an item you wear every day. Doesn't seem very durable. The feathers are very thin, I think they can be aluminum and make a soft comfortable wind chime every now and then. A high quality stainless steel urn ball opens 1/2 and holds a substantial amount of ashes. I really like this, others I have with a tiny hole and it's almost impossible to funnel them as some of the bone fragments are too big and you end up scattering your loved one on the counter. The chain is fine, but the lobster claw spring broke when I first prayed for it. This didn't bother me as I have a nice sturdy stainless steel chain that I use for all my urn hangers.
