Very easy to use. It vibrates enough to work well when you manipulate the brush. Here are our steps that we think work best. Wet brush head 2. Add toothpaste 3. Turn on the automatic brush and press the start button4. Place the brush head in your mouth on your upper teeth (I have told my kids to brush their upper teeth first as gravity will pull the toothpaste to the lower teeth anyway)5. Move the automatic brush back and forth and up and down until the brushing timer stops6. Turn to the bottom teeth and press the start button again 7. Move the automatic brush back and forth and up and down until the brushing timer stops 8. Rinse the brush head. Hope that helps! Took it with the kids on a weekend trip but completely forgot the charger. They lasted all weekend and the kids cleaned them several times a day. It could also be her new favorite toy lol
