Review on Lamp Socket Holder Converter Adapter by Andrew Dinelli

What a great product! I didn't know these little adapters existed until a few weeks ago. I had 3 huge 300 watt street lights that were too bright wasting 900 watts x 8 hours per day = 7200 watt hours per day. It can also be stated that 7.2 kilowatt hours of electricity are used per day if the lights are on 8 hours a day. Using E39 mogul adapters, I installed regular sized bulbs in each of the three locations. I opted for standard 100W LED bulbs, which have an E26 base and only consume 14.5W each. This means that my new power consumption is only 348 watt hours per day (14.5 watts x 3 light bulbs x 8 hours). Of course they are not that bright, but they meet my requirements, as they shine with 1600 lumens and the lamps are supposed to last 14 years. My energy consumption has decreased by 6852 watt hours per day or 6.9 kilowatt hours. This is a 95% reduction in power consumption for these 3 lamps. To turn this into real dollar savings by using 3 of these adapters and switching to cheap LED lights I am now saving over $300 a year in energy costs. The adapters were very simple, just screw into the old bracket and then screw the LED into the adapter. . I am very comfortable!
