NO NEED TO BUY HP INK! You can disable this stupid feature. I rarely have time to write reviews. I just wanted to give people heads. Just open the box and follow the basic steps to install cartridges and paper. DO NOT go to the Instant Ink website. Just use the CD and follow the instructions to set up wireless printing. When I did this, it automatically defaulted to Disable HP Cartridge Protection. If your HP cartridge protection is enabled, YOU CAN DISABLE it. Just find out your printer's IP address. The easiest way is to go to the printer and touch "SETUP" and then go to "NETWORK SETUP". If you touch it it will show your IP address, it will say 192.168.something. Just enter this in your computer's address bar and it will take you to the HP ENVY 4520 All-in-One Printer series website. Then just click on SETTINGS. press PREFERENCES. then HP cartridge protection. From there you will see ENABLE and DISABLE. Touch DISABLE CARTRIDGE PROTECTION and then APPLY. Hope that helps.
