I bought this docking station for the following reasons: 1. Let me run my new Lenovo closed laptop with a large external display, keyboard and mouse.2. Enable fast docking.3. Cleared my desktop of unnecessary wires and cables. What I have: 1. The docking station comes with two large power adapters, you need to use both. The cords aren't long enough to hide supplies from my desk, so the mess takes up about 2 square feet of desk space.2. The connection to the laptop is made with a cable. Unfortunately, it's about 18 inches long, so the mess can't be moved off the table. 3. USB ports not working. Searching the web shows that by finding some drivers, updating the firmware and dancing around, I have a chance of getting it working. Additional internet searching leads me to believe that installing them might cause harm. Not sure what it is, but I expected a Lenovo product to be compatible with my Lenovo laptop out of the box.Save money Buy an extra power adapter and a cheap USB hub. With these two items, you'll have an install that takes up less space and performs better than this very expensive junk.
