As a treetop, it was a complete failure. There's no way I'm going to climb a ladder every night to get to the top of a 7 foot tree and flip the switch on the battery pack! Because of the heavy battery pack, it was still not at the top of the tree. And note, if your tree is 7ft tall and your blankets are 8ft tall, this topper is actually too tall. It's great as a decoration to sit on the mantelpiece or window sill. Very stylish. And at least the battery pack is brown, as is the cable that leads to it. (Remember to remove batteries before storing.) I'm not keeping mine, it looks great on the mantel as a regular decorative piece so I'm keeping it!
