It's easy to pack, & easy to pack more than you originally plan, because (let's face it) who is able to leave empty space in a travel bag? The end result is it will frequently weigh more than you anticipated. The inner pocket for the laptop was more than adequate for me, but I can see larger laptops not fitting well. This is a well made bag. I was pleased with it coming out of the storage bag it was shipped in. The leather is good looking, high quality with a broken in look. The stitching is high quality, tight and in the right places. The bottom corners are reinforced. The hardware and zippers are high quality.
