So far, the only problem that isn't significant is that it's kind of bulky. Not sure how long lasting it will be but we have 3 years. An extended warranty is offered in exchange for product registration within 14 days of purchase. The lighting is great, it's a bit harsh, but it can be set low enough to see the handiwork in my lap and high enough so I can put my hands underneath to work. The magnification is really good, I'm very nearsighted but I can use a magnifying glass without glasses. This is the best (of 3 previous purchases over the years) stand alone lighted magnifier I have ever used. It's very strong on a big, heavy solid base. Our 165 pound dog hitting him had no effect.
