Does its job without making too much noise. I didn't find anything special in it, but there are no complaints. If you're looking for something that also offers significant cushioning over a mattress, you'll need to look elsewhere. Didn't think it was super soft and didn't expect it either. Pros: Machine washable Protects mattress Doesn't stain or retain odors Dries on low most of the time Fits in a regular crib without knotting or being too tight Cons: It takes more than one cycle to dry fully in our dryer, I recommend a combination: start with dryers and then move on to line drying
