This is what it looks like after ONE wash! My baby isn't yet so it hasn't been used. I washed it to prepare for my baby's birth and that's how it turned out. Very bad quality!

I have a standard IKEA cot mattress but the seams on this product have come undone in a few places. You'd think this wouldn't happen with a brand as famous as Carters. It has to be 3/5 stars for that.

I washed it according to the CARE INSTRUCTIONS but it still shrunk 10cm. I took the photo after trying to stretch it back so it doesn't look like 4 inches anymore. And it looks like felt. I do not like it.

because inside is plastic and outside is terry cloth, it is better to wash it on the wrong side so that the plastic faces outside and have 2 people shake it up and down to avoid that water drains water on the inner plastic. Then I dry the protector. I take it out of the dryer a few times to rearrange the still wet parts to make sure they're all dry at the end of the cycle.

So we bought these because our old Carter waterproof pads were starting to fall apart (after 3 years. Worth the money). They are fine and I understand the changes, but there are two issues with the new ones. First, they are not as soft and fluffy as the old style. Second, they "sprinkle" weird snow in the dryer's lint filter, which gets spilled all over the place. But for the money it's ok.

Bought this to make it easier to remove and attach the cover. I have a full mattress topper that needs to be zipped around the mattress and this was difficult. This one is like a bed sheet, so it's easy to put on and take off. I can do it with one hand with a baby in the other hand. The texture is a little rough. It also came in a package with no tag or anything so I think it was sent back and rolled up again. It looked clean so it's ok but a bit odd.

Does its job without making too much noise. I didn't find anything special in it, but there are no complaints. If you're looking for something that also offers significant cushioning over a mattress, you'll need to look elsewhere. Didn't think it was super soft and didn't expect it either. Waterproof/durable mattress protector. I've used it for nighttime potty training since our cribs were converted to toddler cribs. I washed it first (wash in cold water, then tumble dry with the rest of the clothes in normal condition) and it held up in the dryer without shrinking.
