Looks like a good strong rubber boot (plastic on the back). One of the distinguishing features was the rear kickstand, although I haven't used it yet. The phone's plastic screen cover isn't great - it's impossible not to get blisters (but hardly noticeable) underneath - and it picks up fingerprints and grease from fingers. On the downside, they're not visible when looking directly, and the cover is easy to erase, so I don't see that as a serious issue. I would have preferred a glass cover on the phone but others say they tried putting a screen protector on the phone before putting it in this case and it couldn't fit. So I haven't tried it. However, there is one thing I'm not sure how I feel about. The charging port and headphone jack are covered with rubber plugs. On a positive note, though, it helps keep crap out of them when you're not using them. On the other hand, when I put my phone (with case) into a running armband (which is very handy), I'm not sure I can open the lid to plug in the headphones. I'm not sure yet because I've been using a treadmill lately and don't use a bandage. But if I can't open the headset flap, I either can't listen to music while running outside (which doesn't seem optimal), or I have to cut the flap off (or look for one on other armbands, but I've done that and they don't please me). My previous phone's case didn't cover these ports, so cutting off the rubber stopper probably wouldn't be such a big deal.
