I have been in the same predicament as many of you: should I spend more than $100 to buy genuine cartridges or risk and non-genuine cartridges try out? I did a lot of research on the subject before deciding on these cartridges. HP is releasing a firmware update (1910A) and this update will be installed directly into your printer software and this update will prevent the use of outdated ink cartridges and once installed this firmware update cannot be uninstalled. There are videos on youtube that offer ideas on how to get around this and I've done it and they work. What I did was remove the OEM, then reinstall the OEM for about 25 seconds, and then you had about 30 seconds to remove the OEM and install the non-original ones. I'm assuming that period of time is preventing your printer from seeing what you're doing lol. But they work and the quality is good. If you see printer windows with warnings etc., do not click OK. Wait for the printing to finish and just close the window.
