This bag is very handy for hiking and commuting. I usually keep some of the standard stuff in there, like sunscreen, train tickets, and pepper spray, but it's also nice to throw in my phone, keys, and wallet to empty my pockets. It fits my iPhone 7+ but not the larger size in the side pocket. It protects against rain and inclement weather, but things get wet when they fall. My only complaint is that the straps only work if you have a really massive top tube. It's a bit loose on my 10 year old aluminum road bike and completely useless on my 80's steel road bike, but works fine on my cheaper aluminum city bike. I need to tighten the straps on my road bikes a bit.
