Review on Enhanced HPS3000 Studio Headphones by Behringer by Tamika Lewis

No one really thinks a $20 pair of headphones would be perfect. There will always be a shortage; maybe even a few. However, the Behringer HPS3000 falls short when compared to comparable headphones in its ability to underperform on all levels. Headband: narrow and thin. It bends at an angle to fit my very average head, but I don't think it can hold it up for long. Ear pads: thin. with barbs. Closely. Small. My ears don't fit in. My kids ears are gone too. The cup is generally short, not reaching my thumb. The inside (where your ear fits) is three fingers wide. Noise Cancellation: Yes, this is not an advertised feature. However, when I'm wearing them, I can't hear people talking, whether they're across the room or standing right behind my shoulder. However – Hisses: Yes. they hiss. Regardless of the PC port I use, my EQ settings (including OFF) and volume (10% or 0%). None of my other headphones are noisy. You can hear it until I crank the volume up to a deafening level. Bass: No. High: Painfully penetrating. generally small and flat. Overall impression: tinny, often painful. In a small room, at 10% volume, everyone can hear what I'm hearing. Bought $10 headphones that were better than these. The headphones that came free with the Walkman I bought 12 years ago were better than these. The highs are so (painfully) clear that they could be useful for deciphering spoken sound, perhaps if the headband weren't so fragile, the cups so painfully small, and lest we forget, it's a hiss.
