ALL GOOD: This is a basic Ikea bookcase. It's mid-height and narrow, so it works well next to a table (same standard height) with little space between the table and the wall. My child likes it very much. BUT the plastic pieces that fit into the pre-drilled holes to hold the two shelves are rubbish. I mean really terrible! They are difficult to squeeze into holes and break easily, rendering the hole and the entire tier of shelving unusable. TIP: I went to my local hardware store and bought 8 pieces of brass (3/8" or 0.5mm diameter) that are round on one side (for bookshelf holes) and flat on the other side (for shelf supports). They cost 0 $37 each For 4 pens it was less than $3.50 after tax and totally worth it!You might find them cheaper online.Don't use plastic parts - they just cause stress.
