They are extremely sturdy, but when you first sit down they feel like you are sliding forward in the seat. Foot bar is perfect height, and being able to adjust the seat height works great since we range from 5’ tall to over 6’ tall, so we are all comfortable at the counter. Each wooden seat had a little mark in the wood, but makes them each unique and rustic looking. I bought 2 sets of two, and they all match. We are happy with the purchase!
