Review on 📷 Owlet Cam 2 - Smart Baby Monitor Camera: HD Video, Night Vision, Zoom, Wide Angle View, Sound & Motion Alerts by Christine Noland

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Robust option for security

Pros: Video quality is generally good (better than other cameras I've had). I have never had any problems with the app like other users. It was a very easy setup for me. Temperature/Humidity Monitor (again via the app: this means YOUR PHONE is a 'monitor' which is much better than other devices). Scream/move notifications when needed. The app is simple and easy to use Low profile Good sound quality Ability to talk through the app if needed Night vision works well Cons: Sometimes the app takes an extra second to raise the camera. (sometimes I don't mean often. It's reliable and I haven't had much trouble waiting for the app. I can test it at my work if needed. So if you have someone to look after your kids at home, this device is it a serious matter ideal for remote monitoring). The camera doesn't move (I'm not sure if that's common with baby monitors or not. It doesn't matter as the wide angle is good and it can be zoomed via the app) We used to have a well known baby monitor that didn't move connected to the app. It was so expensive ($250+) and annoyingly unreliable. This option is much better and the quality is excellent in comparison. I don't think you can go wrong with it for the price. I'm not sure if there is a perfect monitor for under $200, but this one definitely comes close.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • I won't say anything
