I've had these cables for almost a year now hoping they will help me and my partner's iPhone. While these cables are great for charging your iPhone in the car and offer flexibility within the confines of a car cabin, they don't work well when using CarPlay. We have 2 different cars (1 German, 1 American) and Kabel/CarPlay have the same problem, error message "Function not supported" and CarPlay stops working than it works (70/30 crashes). I'm stuck with the cables, but we're finally going to toss them to the curb as we've moved to a new area and need to rely on CarPlay rather than buying a phone holder to use Maps (or any other app). We're sorry.
