They are very well made and look like they would work well outdoors. The distance between the LEDs is less than 3 inches. There is a delay that is noticeable when you swap all the LEDs at the same time, since each LED contains a WS2811 chip that transfers data to the next LED. This is not noticeable in "chases" and random sequences. An interface connection is available. The wire section is small. I'm not sure how much the voltage drop will be. The total current consumption at 5 V is < 2 amps. I haven't tried connecting 100 LEDs together yet.
