The packaging is adequate but makes an excellent product even more apparent when you unpack it. Conceptually, this is an LED strip permanently installed in an aluminum profile, with a snap-on plastic lens covering the LED and plastic caps covering the ends of the profile. The crossbar can be attached with the two included small screws, one through the hole in each plastic end cap, or with the 3M double-sided mounting tape also included. Two wired devices are also present: one is a cable with two pin ends and the other is a very short block of plastic with two pin ends. Clamps are provided for attaching the cable. I used the cord, cut off one end and replaced it with a DC system with a switch. The wire inside was made of high-quality copper. The positive wire was clearly marked on the zip wire with a dotted line. I understand that these indicators can be easily replaced. LEDs last a long time, but trust me, they will fail long before the cabinets I mount them in are finished. Unscrew the two screws, separate the old bar, install the new bar, plug it in. In the worst case, a different size power connector will be used (replace the cord) or the power supply itself will fail, requiring all parts to be replaced. The problem is that they only come in 3 or 4 lengths while LED strips can easily be cut to length. I think the strength of these devices compared to LED strips will be crucial.
