Good colors, the bit doesn't stop.

Good colors and easy to set up with Google Home. It's not easy to force yourself to stay put. I have returned my purchase. I think they sent me a used one as there was hair on the glue and it didn't stay in place.

Much brighter than expected

These lights are much brighter than I expected which is a pleasant surprise. They fit very well on the back of the TV. Other thoughts that you could use 2 strips on top and 2 on the sides of a 75 inch TV but the product is limited to 3

Philips bends us again

What exactly were you thinking, he11, without providing electricity!? Anyone who thought that was a good idea at Philips should be fired. Since when do we order something so expensive and then can't even return it? Of course, read the fine print and it says the power adapter is not included. If I had read the fine print I would not have ordered it. So stupid. I'm losing faith in Philips.

WITHOUT POWER SUPPLY!

I rarely write reviews, but that's more of a warning. We have multiple HUE lights throughout the house. This is the first one I've bought without a power adapter. The reason for this is that it is an add-on to the basic 2 lamp kit and comes with a power supply for up to 3 lamps. Not very obvious at the time of purchase. ATTENTION. ONE LAMP IS ADDITIONAL TO THE BASIC PACK OF 2 LAMPS.

Much better than a diagonal TV light bar

I used to use a Hue light bar for the TV's backlight and diagonal lighting. It was bulky and prone to falling off as the corners didn't match. These Hue Play bulbs easily attach to the back of your TV and provide excellent offset lighting to increase visible contrast. Pair them with the Hue Play Sync Box or the Hue Entertainment app and you have your very own Ambilight TV.

  • Quality construction

Super confusing product - doesn't work alone.

It is unclear that this product is ONLY RENEWABLE and will not work alone or without a previously purchased base. Surprisingly, it is very difficult to find information on the Internet. I just spent an hour on the phone trying to ask them if they could just sell me the missing power adapter and there is no option to buy a power adapter. I wouldn't buy this again. waste of time and money.

Expensive, but high-quality and reliable

Hue Play bulbs are great for accent lighting. I now have three of these evenly spaced on the windowsill behind my bed. It can light up an entire room (though not quite the ideal brightness of a fully lit room). I use them along with a Revain Echo Dot (2nd gen) and some white lightbulbs to make my room really bright. I'd recommend any of the Hue products I've tried, but be warned that once Hue is accepted you'll need to buy Hue products solely for your lighting needs (which can get expensive).

Pros
  • Durable workmanship
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Hue Sync must be purchased, others +230$

Extremely disappointed with the way it is advertised. I bought it along with another Hue Play+ hub that costs around $200. But I loved the lighting effects that matched the TV. Unfortunately, as soon as I started the installation, I realized I needed another device to sync the lights and TV. That's extremely expensive. Aside from the cost, the Sync Box is sold out in most places. I don't even know where to buy it. I'm considering returning everything and buying $70 Grovee glowsticks. This…

No adapter in wall lights

So, somewhere in that wall of text I forgot that I ordered the SKU without an adapter. That's not very good, and I take most of the blame, but not all. This needs to be made VERY clear, not only to make this one device clear, but also because you can't seem to order an adapter separately and it doesn't provide the statistics needed to be able to contact a third party. . It's anti-consumer. So be more careful than I was or you'll become skeptical like me every time you buy anything else from the
