What was supposed to be easy to assemble turned into a half hour project.

What was supposed to be easy to assemble turned out to be a half-hour project. So the skeleton comes mostly assembled, the only thing you need to put on, or arms and legs, put the stand on the base and put the skeleton on the stand... Sounds easy enough right? So I collect the mail and put it on the base. The base consists of four parts, the main part to which the other three parts are attached and three legs. So I'm trying to fit these three legs into the main body and they just don't fit. But I've found that they slip quite easily when I turn them over. But obviously they are not what they should be. So after spending 20 minutes trying to fit them into this main body to complete the base, I give up and decide to soak all those plastic bits and a large measuring cup in hot water, hoping maybe it'll all soften enough makes I can put these pieces together. It really worked, I soaked them in hot water for about five minutes and it wasn't easy, but eventually they came together. Trouble is, if I ever want to take it apart I'll never get it in the box unless I do. The wire clamps used to attach the arms and legs are quite flimsy and twice the arms fell off and I had to go back and tighten them. The whole thing was supposed to take about five minutes, and it was annoying to say the least. When it was finally together, it was decent. Not the best skeleton I've ever seen, and not the worst. But the hassle of collecting the base should never have happened. It also comes with a bone identification poster, which was a nice touch. For the money I thought it was fair despite all the issues. Especially useful if you are homeschooling.
