Great footpegs but NOT scratch resistant

During installation on the CRF250L the anodizing on the footpegs was scratched which I found annoying so I returned them. I even installed the footpegs with great care not to scratch them, but they got scratched anyway. While they look great and I bought them at a very reasonable price, I have a feeling they will scratch and tarnish even with normal use. If you don't care about scratches and dents these are a great buy and they look fantastic. If you care about scratches I wouldn't buy anodized steel.
