Review on πŸ“» Portable PRUNUS AM FM WB Radio with Back Clip, Signal Indicator, Battery Operation, Excellent Outdoor Indoor Reception by Ray Mcknight

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best small radio is durable, easy to use and has a long battery life with two AA batteries. Voting is easy.

I bought this small transistor radio to check for AM power line interference which I believe is coming from a neighbor's house. I just take it and listen to the static noise. But AM reception is good. FM is very good. The weather group is also very good. The controls work well. The body is made of THICK plastic and the battery door is cleverly hinged. The battery indicator is always RED and I am assuming that means 'good' or 'on'. The green tuning indicator is handy and turns green when you tune into a station. The radio seems to lock onto a strong station no matter which band is AM, FM or WX. He has to use a special radio chip. If you drop it, the case will likely survive the fall. The antenna is also well screwed. The controls are well labeled and the frequencies for AM, FM and WX are clearly labeled. BONUS - The AM frequency is boosted from 520kHz to 1710kHz, allowing you to add a few extra stations at the top of the AM band. Sturdy belt clip that can break if you try to break it. I pulled the belt clip 20 degrees off center and it didn't break. I love the CE RoHS FCC certifications on the belt clip. I feel smart I bought a well built radio.
