Review on ๐ŸŒง๏ธ Ultimate Neoprene Weather Density with Adhesive Backing: Unbeatable Protection for All-Weather Conditions by Justin Metz

Too hard and very old

The neoprene was too stiff for any variable gap that might require a 1/8 inch flattening in that area. If your gap is perfect or in a high compression spot (on the hinge side of the door) then it looks, feels and performs well. If you have a situation where that seal needs to be broken in a hard to squeeze area (door handle side) your door will range from extremely stiff to completely impossible to close as the seal doesn't want to compress. The neoprene is easy to sand down with a grinder and can be shaved down as needed to fit your gap, but I was expecting something softer. The roll I received was so old that the paper tore here and there leaving long lasting stains. It was no stiffer than the new reel I received from YoTache, who sent me a fresh reel. Of course, neoprene can be stored in a closet for a long time. If you need a seal that is easy to break, you will have to use a low-quality gray material. A double bladder is also available, which is also easier to compress.

Pros
  • WIDE APPLICATIONS - This product can help with cushioning and vibration dampening, reduce noise and prevent movement. Use it around the house with furniture to prevent scratches. Used in automotive and marine applications to dampen and isolate components. The closed-cell sponge makes it an ideal caulking material for sealing joints, panel doors, dust and other areas to eliminate air leaks. Use it on toys, on electronics, in the garden, in the office, for crafts, the uses are endless.
Cons
  • Drill Pack
