Honestly, I have to be honest. I didn't buy them for toxic waste. I only ordered them because I wanted strong bags that wouldn't break. I don't have regular garbage collection at my house and I have to take my garbage to the local landfill and I'm tired of bags ripping and leaking so I think this was done to avoid that! I've seen other reviews that the floors are weak. I think they are made to stay crumpled at the bottom, not flattened. Yes, I tried to find out too. no I take it a step further as I don't normally use them for hazardous waste. I turn it inside out, but the warning is still visible, so I take a marker and draw an "X" on the warning image. I don't want to scare anyone on the training ground! So far these are working fine for me. If I find another way, I'll come back here and let you know.
