Just super, the product is made wonderfully, very satisfied.

The receiver is excellent, compact, beautiful, easy to use. One HDMI cable connects to the TV. Very happy with the purchase. Now I plan to buy new speakers. I bought a receiver to replace an old one.

I can't stop being happy with the purchase, a very good deal!

Excellent receiver, I use it with a 7.1 system. I did not notice any problems with the definition of sound described in other reviews. The main advantages, in my opinion, are support for HDR + and Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos. Atmos sound output from 8-channel DD TrueHD tracks, the sound is cool. Easy to set up, very accurately determines the distance between the position of the microphone and the speakers when calibrating the system. For such money (35k) there are no similar offers on the market.

Great sound if you are not completely twisted. Never turned it on at full power and everything is shaking, the neighbors start throwing something. Power is needed for quality. Movie fly away

The quality is at the highest level, be sure to try it.

The superb, compact, aesthetically pleasing, and user-friendly receiver. The TV only needs one HDMI cable. Very satisfied with the acquisition. I'm going to go out and get some new speakers now. I recently replaced my ancient receiver with a brand new one.

What you need, a cool purchase, I advise you.

I have not yet made a special impression, compared with the old receiver. Different pros: The advantage of this device is that it works via the eARC cable, turns on, transmits a good sound . through the TV remote control! With its cons. I am happy with everything, the product matches the description.

The choice fell on this model, due to the presence of full synchronization with the TV. In my case, the TV is the “head”. Everything works perfectly. Some oddities but worthy for the price

Overall this is a pretty good receiver for the price and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an entry level receiver with the basics. However, there are some specifics that you should consider before buying. No HDMI-CEC support. It may not matter to most people, but it should be mentioned anyway. Buyers beware of false claims

Let me start by saying that the video transmission quality is excellent, but if you expect to use this AV receiver in combination with a PC I would steer clear. You can use either HDR or 60 fps, but not both at the same time. Enabling HDR limits the refresh rate to 30Hz, which is crazy. Also, it only plays 4K at 60Hz, while 1440p is again capped at 30fps (whether HDR is enabled or not). My last receiver could handle 1440p at 60 fps, it could handle 4K/60 fps with HDR enabled; it can't. You have

At first I was a bit surprised not to see the eARC function. After checking the Sony website, I discovered that my purchase (purchased on December 26, 2018) came with outdated firmware. Firmware update to VER. 1.171 for STR-DH790 took only 5 minutes via USB and gives you eARC functionality.
