Briefly tested but it seems like a decent headphone amp

I haven't really given it a good test, only a brief one, but it seems good enough for the average person. I can't do harmonic distortion tests or anything an audiophile might want to know about it but it didn't seem to clip when on full volume, and the volume was loud at the highest setting. If your phone or other portable device distorts on higher volumes, this might be worth getting. It's about the size of a small phone, rechargeable, and has decent sound. It's not going to be as loud or as…

Pros
  • Battery life is great and it encreases audio output power so several devices can run at the sameTime
Cons
  • Outdated design

Really good - "diamond in the rough " territory

This is a compact amp that does exactly what is says.To test it I took out my notoriously hard to drive AKG Q701 as well as much easier V-Modas, I used it with an old linux laptop and also an LG V20 (good DAC for a phone) and listened to several musical genres. The things I liked:Good connectors - solid and precise.Good and accurate volume control and good knob movement.Good aluminum casing.Good battery life.Nice cables out of the box.Nice design, no confusing brands, clear writing saying it is…

  • Size
Cons
  • Not compatible with Bluetooth enabled devices

Fixed my problem for my opinion

We have a studio and I was getting a buzzing sound when doing recordings of Zoom guest bc I had to max out the volume in order for the host to hear them. This little device allowed me to not have to max out the volume, which then removed the buzzing sound. I've only used it on battery power once and it worked great. I usually just leave it plugged into the computer with the USB cable that it came with. Works great for my needs.

Pros
  • I wish it was louder but all in all was great
Cons
  • Difficult to use

No Loss, But Also No Gain

I got this headphone amplifier to connect it to a USB-microphone my daughter is using for distant learning. The microphone has its own headphone jack. That works, but when the cable moves the microphone picks it up. So now the headphone is plugged to the amplifier, which is velcroed (is that a word?) to the table. Problem solved. It doesn’t sound much different. The gain switch increases the input signal, so it sounds louder, but not better. I leave it off, since we are only recording voice, I…

Pros
  • Sound good when connecting to Fiio DAC.
Cons
  • Interference from other electronics

Works Great! - my new review

We are going to a haunted hotel this month and have been gathering equipment to help with our little ghost adventure. :)We needed something to boost the sound of our (very quiet) spirit box (SB7), and this seemed like a good solution. We hook it up to our spirit box and then to our external speaker and we can finally hear it! It boosts the sound perfectly! It has a rechargeable battery, which is great. Looking forward to our ghost adventure and grateful to have found a little amp that will fit…

Pros
  • Compact, easy to travel with.
Cons
  • Poor range

Works as expected. - my new review

The amplifier does its job fine. I am not an expert in sound evaluation but at least I could hear minimum degrade of sound when connected with high quality earbuds. Few things to mention, it doesn't include any 3.5mm cable so if you just have earbuds you might need male to male 3.5mm audio cable. It included nice long usb charging cable though. Secondly, I actually bought this hoping that it may be able to amplify signal from my shotgun microphone and I confirm this didn't work out. But it…

Pros
  • helps me to hear nitetime in bed programs without disturbing others.
Cons
  • Volume output is inconsistent

Oculus Quest modded audio perfection.!

PHENOMENAL.! I plan on using this amplifier to pull as much highfidelity audio from my Oculus Quest as humanly possible, in order to further my VR immersion experience as I fiercely battle daily 24/7 chronic intractable pain, while struggling to survive on a low fixed income. That said, it is quite imperative that we stretch every penny, to effectively enhance my VR treatment modality, and this amplifier more than fits the necessitated bill. So far, in the few tests I've conducted, I am much…

Pros
  • Sturdily built, good sound quality.
Cons
  • Weak signal strength

For what it is it's fine

I bought this to use with high ohm headphones and my iPad. I have noted, so far, a marginal improvement in overall volume and sound quality using it vs, connecting the phones directly to the iPad. The volume knob is fairly sensitive. It is necessary to keep the gain switch on high. I have a more expensive amp/DAC for use with my iPhone which produces noticeably superior sound quality but as an inexpensive solution for the iPad (which is not supported by the amp/DAC, it is worth the $$. I…

Pros
  • Buy this for a great beginner set up. Also works for an old salt like me. Well worth the cost.
Cons
  • Bulkier than other models

Be careful with the plugs.

It works great but it failed quickly as the solder jointed are very weak where they headphones connect to the amp. So the socket that accepts the 3.5 mm plug for the headphones separates from the board and it stops working. If I could steady my hands I could reconnect it but I have health issues right now that make my hands move by themselves in jerky motions. I have ordered a third on and hope it can last until I am healed.

Pros
  • Great for increasing volume to headphones off of tv for watching music videos and concerts
Cons
  • Expensive price point

Good amplifier for my projector

This is very good working as expected. I am using to my 10w projector to convert to 40w. Excellent sound quality and only problem is when device is charging there is unknown background noise.

Pros
  • RuiPuo
Cons
  • Only amplifies already existing flaws

I am happy with it best in my review

My daughter both me for my RV and I used it to connect it to my car-play screen to have higher volume and it is just about right. I have enough volume. I wish the lower frequencies be better but I made an adjustment on my head unit, where it is connected. It is right above the white wire under the head unit at the picture

Pros
  • Amplifiers
Cons
  • Limited gain adjustability

Battery life is also very long

Very good product, battery life is also very long, increased very good volume and clarity. I can clearly hear the music in my phone without turning up the volume very high.

Pros
  • Eliminates the need to upgrade to expensive high-end headphones by improving the sound quality of existing devices
Cons
  • Easily overheats

Deff boosts the sound

What i like: it has rechargeable battery that lasts a good while. Its small and easily fits in my glove box. It can boost the low frequencies, or the high frequencies. Micro USB makes finding a charger easy. What I don't car for: I forget to turn it off all the time and go to use it and battery is dead. I know its my fault, but an auto turn off would be nice. When boosting the high frequencies, it lacks in the bass area big time. And if you have a system in your car its a big deal.Overall: first

Pros
  • Increases the volume output of devices with low sound output
Cons
  • No equalizer function

Amazing for the price.

This little device does all it says it does. The power added to boost music is more than adequate. One can use this to boost headphones such as Beats Pro and make them vibrate with power. Or it can be used with aux plug-ins in cars as a sort of ‘mini-amp’.

Pros
  • RP061
Cons
  • Not suitable for use with high-end headphones

Kick up your laptop volume!

My laptop just does not have the headphone punch To listen to music. I bought a few different headphones to see if it would improve but it did not. This little amplifier did the trick. I use it to power regular Apple earbuds and the volume halfway is more then enough. The battery on this lasts me 4 hours.

Pros
  • Provides a significant boost to the sound quality of older devices
Cons
  • Poorly designed battery indicator

Just get it. - my new review

This device solves a common problem: your tablet/laptop/PC won't drive your amplifier to saturation. Once I added this, my amplified speakers woke up.I just keep the volume up all the way on this, and control the volume with the knob on my soundbar.

Pros
  • Compatible with a wide range of devices, including iPhones, cellular phones, MP3 and MP4 players, and computers
Cons
  • Not compatible with some phone cases

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just a good amplifier

This little wonder only amplifies and does not have any tone adjustments. It has transformed my low-amplification MP3 player plus hearing-protectring headphones into a system that can actually be heard during tractor mowing. Since it can make the existing sound signal very loud, you should use caution and dial it back appropriately.Hopefully, it will last.

Pros
  • Hands down Best buy kicks butt
Cons
  • No noise-canceling features

Very Happy with it in my review

I purchased a small low end keyboard so that I may practice the piano when traveling. I needed a small keyboard as I couldn't carry a large one. I practice with a headset so as not to wake up my friends, but the sound was so soft that I struggled to hear what I was playing. I went to Guitar Center and all of their headphone amps were huge and expensive, designed for professionals. This headphone amp is small enough to fit in my case and weighs practically nothing. Inexpensive but most…

Pros
  • Increases the overall enjoyment of music, movies, and other media
Cons
  • Does not improve overall audio quality

Revainrating 4 out of 5

solid construction, clean sound

A lot of laptops and cell phones have have weak headphone audio output or they distort when you crank up the volume. An external headphone amplifier like this solves (or reduces) that problem (in some situations). This one is sturdily build and has a nice clean sound output in the volumes that I use. I love that it is rechargeable so you I don't have to worry about batteries or a fragile battery door, which was a common problem on older battery-powered headphone amplifiers.

Pros
  • Compact and portable design for easy transport and use on-the-go
Cons
  • No warranty or customer service support

This little Amp works lik it's supposed to

This Aluminum case amp is of Excellent quality. Volume dial is smooth and accurate, the 'Gain' switch adds enough gain but doesn't over do it. I have been using this unit for 2 weeks, and the battery is still going strong,Not recharged yet{approx. 8-9hrs}. Yes I recommend this product. The company actually & Quickly answered my Email.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Cannot produce high-fidelity sound
