Review on Mica Powder Epoxy Resin Dye Set: 25 Vibrant Pigments for Resin, Soap, and Makeup by Tara Ford

Pretty Good for Resin

The quality of these pigments is excellent. Many colors are bold and beautiful when mixed with resin, others are dull or a different shade than they appear. For the most part, the colors are all as is, perhaps a little more vibrant when mixed with resin. The "English Red" is actually more of a hot pink, which is disappointing considering there is no bright red in this set. What disappointed me the most was the purple color in the set. It is very faint and has an amazing black tint, which makes the color appear dull when mixed. The rest of the colors are great. For those who use them to clean molds before pouring resin in, I would recommend getting a different brand. Love this work, they don't go as thick and bright as other brands I've used. I've only had luck cleaning something up when I plan on using the exact same shade to mix with the resin I'm pouring in. Otherwise the colors are weird. Overall the price is justified, the pearlescent finish looks nice but if you want a good red or purple I would go elsewhere. If I plan to use the exact same shade to mix with the resin, I pour in. Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something
