I've seen fee complaints about three pencils filling a space, but even if you put three pencils in - and for some reason take out two - one pencil still stays in place. I've seen complaints that it doesn't close easily when the case is full of oencils - I didn't order or include an extra 'sheet' for you to add so my input is how the product got straight to me - fill it completely. It closes easily - I have enough room for two decent coloring books. And it still fits in a backpack full of books. A bit reminiscent of high school and junior high school - if only those boxes existed back then - or if they were I wish I knew about them. no Everything stays in place, and if you have any perfectionist/compulsive habits that encourage you to color coordinate all your pens - it's a lot easier to move them around than with a single slot. So my mistake turned out to be a fantastic purchase for me. If you're not sure you should spend money on it - I recommend it if it means anything at all. The quality is excellent and exactly as described. If, like me, you color-match your pens or pencils, the three slots make it easy to add to this section. I received 2 of these and will be ordering 4 more - 2 more for me and 2 for Christmas gifts.
