The leather is good quality, and will wear well. The cases are a good size, and include a bonus earbud holder. Will be used to carry specialized hand held blacklights used to examine artwork and antiques. These cases had to be ready to travel and I believe they will protect the blacklights nicely. The handy strap looks durable, and can be hung from a caribiner on a backpack or tool bag. I gave them for Christmas to my co-workers, who liked them very much.

I love this pencil case. It is simple and beautiful. When I got it, I thought it was PU leather at first, until I opened the bag. I could smell the leather! It does not have a harsh chemical smell, It's smooth to the touch as well. If you prefer a more distressed look and feel, then I recommend doing what some others have done and work with it a bit. I bought this for my wife as she had problems with other cases that were too thin and her scissors would poke through. Now she is happy and keeping the wife happy makes life better! I was looking everywhere for a bill sized wallet in leather that wasn't thick, heavy and have millions of pockets. So, I found this. I do not use it as a pencil case, I use it for a wallet and I love it! It is beautifully colored, excellently sewn and seems very durable. I am sure I will use this until I die! :)

I like the way it looks because the color matches my leather accessories that I cary in my handbag everyday . I use it for discount coupons , my shopping list and a pen at the grocery store because unlike a paper envelop that crushes the contents, this case keeps them straight and easy to retrieve when needed. This is the second pencil case that I ordered. The first one was in early June and the cost was four dollars cheaper. It was a good price and of course I was very satisfied. I like well made things and this is sturdy with solid feeling hardware. For the last several years I've been wearing fleeces if it's at all cool and keys and pens (need them for my property/construction management work) have been poking holes in my pockets. I didn't want a pocket protector and find this to be the next best thing. It's a nice thick leather that suits my purposes perfectly. Wish I had bought it sooner - I'd have less holes in my pockets if I had.

I use this mostly for fountain pens but I have also used it for cables when traveling. It is a handsome accessory that is essentially indestructible. The leather is real and oils up well and has proven to take abuse well.

However, this is a little smaller than the typical pencil case, and my load of pens, pencils, and a few other things, which fit nicely in my cheap, worn out, old pencil case would not fit in this one.
