It turned out to be a very good blanket especially for the warmer southern region where I live. It's exactly the weight I was hoping for, light enough to keep the cold out without feeling hot like a comforter or duvet. Based on other reviews and since cotton shrinks, I ordered a king bed for my queen bed. It is just the right size, even after repeated washing and drying. There are enough protrusions that I don't have to worry about my husband ripping my quilt off at night like he did my old quilt. Gray wouldn't be my first choice as I don't usually prefer neutral colors, but it's actually a nice light gray that goes well with my blue bedding. It's soft, comfortable and has held up well so far. To be honest I like it more than any blanket I've had in years.
