If you've never used a TENS unit before, this is simple to use. You plug in the wires at one end to the controller and the other end to the sticky pads. Stick the pads on either side of the painful area, and turn on the machine. Adjust it to the highest electrical setting you can comfortably tolerate and let it run for a few minutes, and it begins quickly to alleviate your pain. When you're done, remove the reusable pads and store them. I'll be glad if/when they can make the unit wireless, but for now this is one of the better values out there. The cost is about what you'd pay for 2-4 prescription co-pays, but you get years of use from it.For localized pain this is worth its weight in gold. I'll definitely buy another when this one dies.
