I'm a big Lems fan and wear Primals and Boulder Boots regularly. I've owned several other brands of minimal shoes - Softstars, Xero sandals, VFFs, and tried the Vapor Glove 2 a few years ago. I don't run in these shoes; I do yoga and I appreciate how much firmer my feet feel in minimal shoes than everyday shoes. VG2 were too narrow in the toe area and I have slightly narrow feet. I read that VG4 solved this problem, so I was ready to try them. You can send them back at any time. They feel like magic out of the box. The Primal is really light and airy, but the VG4 feels like steam. They have the classic cupped Vibram heel that allows your foot to move properly (the Primals have this feature too). The feel of the earth is phenomenal. I assume they will only make so many sharp rocks, but I really don't think for my foot shape there is a closed shoe that feels less present than the VG4. My only concern is that they are so light that I'm not sure how long they will last. I don't hit her hard. If they fall apart quickly I'll come back and give some stars.
