It is difficult to hold the connector when plugging it into the computer.

The USB connector on this model slides in and out. So when you connect it to your computer, you have to hold it very firmly with your thumb while you push it out so that it connects properly to the input port. It's hard to tell when it's fully deployed. If it appears to be inserted and data is being transferred to and from it, then everything is fine. The ability to remove the input plug is good for protection, but the cover is all plastic.
