I ride my e-bike to work a few days a week and needed a lock to prevent anyone from hacking my bike snaps. I've had 2 U-lock bikes stolen in the past so I was looking for something bigger and better. I also needed something that would work on custom sized bike racks. The chain draws attention when you lock yourself in a bike rack. It's heavy and quite noisy, and it rings when you install it. People regularly comment that it looks beautiful and durable. I like it. BUT it's annoying to carry around. I can't find where to put it on the bike. In the back it makes your back heavy, on saddlebags and one side it wobbles a lot when I turn and on a bike frame it tends to slip when I'm riding. It won't stay in place no matter where I put it because it's a chain and loves to flap around. 3 buggy cords later in the rack, and one end still comes loose when I hit a bump. I like it but no. To be honest I think it could be about 6 inches shorter and still work fine. I'm considering buying a U lock and leaving it at home unless I'm downtown. kind of sucks because it's pretty expensive.
