You only need a screwdriver and pliers to assemble this unit and the mounting bolts and nuts are of the highest quality, making for a very strong frame. The frame has excellent solid rubber flooring already installed to protect your floors and prevent slipping. All metal parts are coated with a heavy duty porous black finish. The top is a solid piece of wood that is sturdy butcher block thickness lacquered with a rich, evenly varnished finish with a printed wood grain pattern. If you have the tools handy, it takes about 15 minutes to assemble. Arrived in a well-packed box to protect the device, but everything is in harsh conditions, so it is difficult to damage. I ordered this table top to use as an end table to my chair as it is listed as 22 inches high, but when assembled it measures 27 1/2 H inches from floor to top. It was too high for my chair but it might work for yours as my chair seems low to me and they are all different. I used this countertop as a coffee station, which is perfect since my coffee maker is too big for my counter. I pulled it out of the top cabinet every day to access the basket and water tank. I might buy a second one and put them together to create a much needed second shelf space on an empty wall.
