excellent magnet. I attached it to my pop jack and a metal plate on my phone case as I don't always want to attach a pop jack. The magnet is strong and I no longer have problems with the pop socket becoming dislodged when repositioning. This adds about 5-6mm to the depth of the pop-socket, but that's ok because if I want the phone to be thinner I can easily remove the pop-socket/magnet from the metal plate. However, it is important to note that if you place your phone on a charger instead of a cable, the metal plate sticking will affect the phone's ability to charge. But then again, if you're using a pop socket, that's going to get in the way, too.
