I bought this to set up games for my high school senior age and he has yet to graduate high school and play soccer for a year There was a game that lasted about three hours. We had eleven people in all, five varsity players from his school and then six adults. it was because one of the kids had tied it wrong and it wouldn't come undone. One only had to use a small clip to fasten the flags around the waist, but he tied them so tightly that he could not detach them without tearing them. It's not that the flags get torn easily, it's that people get kung fu while playing, the first attempt to pull his flag didn't work, so after about two steps someone else touched it and this flag didn't stand a chance :-) In my youth I played flag football in city leagues and tournaments for many years. I'm only aware of one flag that's better, and as far as I know it's an exact replica. They just got a little stiffer with use. But they cost a lot more. These flags are simply beautiful and will last a long time with proper use and storage. I will buy more of the same brand and type if needed. Where I live I referee a flag football tournament, I've been doing that for seven years. As long as the flags are used correctly, this particular view shouldn't break at all. Storage is also important if they get wet and not soggy. Have a chance to dry, water damage can weaken the cotton and then they break easily. I recommend these flags, they are good quality and affordable. Proper use and storage and they will outlast many games.
