Really impressed with using about 4 gauge wire for a big 3 upgrade. Looks sturdy and professional the first time, and using the right tools helps make the job easier. This thing rolls on its own, so it takes a little trick to apply it. I used a flashlight to squeeze the corrugated foil and saw that the cable protector reacted to heat, but the engine heat was perfectly normal. I drove around town for 20 minutes and came home and there was no smell of burned plastic. I'm pretty sure it's a heat resistant engine bay.
