I bought it as a second monitor for my Surface Pro 7. I was very excited at first, and by the way, after figuring out how to connect it, it doesn't work with either a C-port or an HDMI adapter. I had to plug it directly into my computer, which limits what I can do with it. This was because it plugged directly into an outlet for power. I left it plugged into my computer overnight. But when I tried to turn on my computer the next day, it wouldn't start. The computer was warm (not hot, but enough to say it was on all night) and I couldn't turn the computer on. This usually happens with a Surface Pro getting hot and not in a ventilated place (like a backpack) but it was plugged in and sitting outside on my desk. The ONLY way was to press the power and volume down buttons for 20 seconds to restart and turn it on. This happened with a monitor connected to a USB-C connection. The only way I see what I've accomplished in a week is to turn it off every time I leave my desk so I don't lose my work. on the surface of If I have to restart it I lose my work which is obviously not productive. Would like to know if there is even a solution for this? work with. I changed my rating from 2 to 3 stars. That being said, I feel like the monitor isn't fully compatible with the Surface Pro 7 in the way I'd like. I keep it, but I wish it was easier.
