The purchase brought only positive emotions.

Legend. A day off for all of the senior citizens. These are the words that I would like to use to launch into the beginning of my story. Back in 2022, when the brand-new MX500 made its debut on the consumer market, I became familiar for the first time with the wares produced by the Swiss corporation Logitech. According to my recollection, the cost was around about 1500. It was a lot of money for a mouse back then, but I have never once regretted making the purchase because this mouse served me well until the year 2022, after which I gave it to a friend who still uses it now! This is the quality in question! You are wondering why I would have given it away if everything was in working order. The answer is quite straightforward: in my opinion, the outward presentation and the visual component are very significant, and in my opinion, they are just as important as the internal (technical) element itself. Yet after eight years of consistent use, any mouse will eventually become unusable. Well, once I donated my old MX500 to a buddy, wanderings began . I spent the better part of nine years seeking for a mouse that was near to or comparable to the MX500, but there was always something missing. I had already reconciled myself to the idea that mice with the good old school design would exist only in my memory when, a few months ago, I was not sent a link to the news that Logitech was bringing back the MX500 legend. I had already come to terms with the idea that mice with the good old school design would exist only in my memory. That was such a pleasure! It's true that the MX518 is a little bit different from the MX500, but other than that, the design is still the same old school design, the shapes are the same, and the brand is the same. I couldn't contain my delight. Happy. So, a straightforward mouse with excellent ergonomics has the potential to evoke a wide range of feelings and memories in its users. I'm overjoyed that our hopes and prayers were finally answered. My recent acquisition has met with my satisfaction. I want to thank Logitech for making the #bestmouseever.

Pros
  • A timeless icon in the form of a mouse that cannot be improved upon. Revolutionary HERO 16K sensor with a resolution of 16000 dots per inch (dpi), built-in memory for up to five profiles that can be modified without the need to install software, and sensitivity adjustment with a single click (also up to 5 sensitivity modes). lightweight and with a fashionable appearance.
Cons
  • The mouse is quite close to being ideal in all respects. A minor drawback that I should mention is the glossy covering, which, despite being quite comfortable in the hand, tends to collect dirt, particularly when working in tandem with sweating hands (which happens often, given the purpose for which the mouse was bought). This is the primary "defect" that I am able to see for myself; therefore, I would want to see the illuminating Logitech logo included in the upcoming iteration, just as it is on the G Pro model.
