New version is much better

Update June 2021: 2 months later their new model was ready to ship and I received it by giving a different address as they couldn't/wouldn't ship to my old address. I assembled the tower and noticed 2 changes: added a spacer (#17) which I'm not sure is needed (I assume this part is supposed to use 2 long screws but the instructions don't mention that there are 2). different types of screws, only one type of screw or bolt). However, I think adding curly braces under the main step (#11) is a big improvement and that's why this step isn't broken. I think it was a necessary change. With this critical part change, I believe this stool will be a better buy. Unfortunately, I still had a few screws that I had to use glue on because they only turn from drilling too much for the pilot holes. Overall we are happy with both stools so I thought 4 stars would be fine but there is some difficulty due to the preparation on their part and the imperfect instructions. But in the end, with a little more effort, you'll have a good end product that your kid will love. But the first version required wood glue, clamps and a drill to fix things, the new version didn't require much. Update April 2021: The seller contacted me after the next review and informed me that he would like to make it right. . They will be releasing a new version of it soon and said they will send me one soon. I have temporarily raised my rating from 1 to 3 stars in good faith and will update again when I receive a new version. If I were on the market now, I would wait until a new version is available to purchase. First Review: The quality of this product is poor, parts chip/torn out of the box and others do when hand tightened and the tolerances are just as bad as things are misaligned. Prepare to use a drill, wood glue, and clamps to assemble and secure along the way. With the main step your child is standing on (the whole point of this product), it is split down the middle and unusable without wood glue and backing.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
