These fittings are much better than factory fittings because they have two o-rings inside. They won't fit some cheap replacement heatsinks because the threads are a different pitch. They should fit Ford/Mercury factory radiators and higher quality replacement radiators that mimic factory radiators. I installed this on my son's 2006 Mercury that was having a radiator replaced and the driver's side line was constantly dripping. Considering there is no dipstick to monitor for low transmission oil and/or simply adding fluid if you don't want to replace a burned transmission, these new vehicles should be leak free without a dipstick. Installed and no more drips! Dripping off one of these fittings might be worth paying just to see if it suits you! Please note that due to the longer line and the vibrations, it usually appears to be leaking on the driver's side!
