Repair Leaking Transmission Oil Lines

This is a big improvement over the OEM. Install these to fix a leak in a transmission oil cooler line at the radiator. Perfect fit for Ford Sport Trac 2007 March 2006.

Good product - replacement parts

Fixed a leaky connection on our 2006 Ford Explorer V8 where it attaches to the radiator. I should have ordered two! If you are replacing one, I would recommend replacing both. It changes very easily, practically no gear oil is lost during replacement. The double o-ring is definitely better than the factory single o-ring.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Don't really like it, everything is fine

Good quality despite being a Dorman part

I normally stay away from Dorman branded parts but this part is very high quality. I bought two of these fittings to fit a new 2007 Explorer radiator. A 1 1/16" wrench is required for installation. Do not overtighten the connections or you will have to buy a new radiator. These fittings contain a double O-ring to prevent gear oil leakage. You will also need a tube of Permatex 59214 (also available from Revain) for use on the radiator threads.

The annoying leakage has been stopped!

These fittings are much better than factory fittings because they have two o-rings inside. They won't fit some cheap replacement heatsinks because the threads are a different pitch. They should fit Ford/Mercury factory radiators and higher quality replacement radiators that mimic factory radiators. I installed this on my son's 2006 Mercury that was having a radiator replaced and the driver's side line was constantly dripping. Considering there is no dipstick to monitor for low transmission oil…

Great Deal - Save Money!

This part eliminates the need to buy a new expensive radiator and remove/replace the entire radiator. This replacement part stopped a transmission oil leak. I couldn't find any clear instructions on any particular site, but I checked out some of the other reviews here as well as YouTube for more suggestions. First I drained the coolant from the radiator (to collect it for reuse). One of the tools I bought with the part (not a Dorman product) didn't help me disconnect the transmission line from…
