We have a new 2017 compact SUV. 95% of the time on the road, the driver and front passenger are usually in the front seats. We often carry grandchildren who require additional second row seats, otherwise two teenagers or adults. We were looking for a car trash can to secure and it looked like it could fill the bill in many places. To this day we still don't know where to put it. Over the back of the front headrest, it gets in the way and too close to the backseat passengers. Above and below the front console in the rear, central legroom is blocked, but that's fine if you only have two passengers, each entering and exiting through their own side doors. Above the front console or shifter, it is close to the passenger's feet. Cannot adjust strap short enough to hang off door without falling forward onto passenger. The inner bag does not stay in place despite the clips. The bag itself tends to tip over no matter where it is placed. The belt cannot be shortened and stretched once on each side. So we're disappointed and double-checked and going back to our old, slightly smaller, stiffer, carpeted model.
