As others have pointed out, the fittings are a bit cheap, but after years of borrowing a gauge set from friends at Harbor Freight I thought I should finally get my own updated set to match it the R134a will work. as my old R12 set literally fell apart. Overall it performed exactly as expected, the case keeps it from being scratched and ruined in the shop and overall it's easy to use. As someone who started out as a professional mechanic I can say without a doubt that this is NOT truck quality tooling, but it is better than what you can get at cheap tool stores or even auto parts stores. The only problem is paying attention to the quick couplers, running them. until it stops so that the middle does not press on the valve when connecting. You CAN get away with it on the low side, but forget about the high side. no problem with measuring devices. Works well with the HF air vacuum pump for pumping previously open systems, but you may need a better pump.
