Very disappointing. The product is quite durable (compared to many metal products which often "pop" off their gears when pulled through the chilled dough). Since no force is required on the gears when scooping the dough, this device *should* work just fine. But the metal strip that's supposed to scrape the ball of dough off the spatula just doesn't fit the device properly. A full 1/8-inch batter is left behind, leaving a ball that is shaved too thin (resulting in small cookies) and a mess in the spoon that makes the ball difficult to remove. I wouldn't buy this again. .
