An incorrect assumption is being made when it is said that an increase in humidity will occur if the windows are opened. When it is chilly outside and the windows are open, all of the moisture will evaporate out of the room, resulting in a significant decrease in the room's humidity. This season, while it was being used, it started making noise, and I had to turn it off even at night since the noise, which was a repetitive crackling, prevented me from getting a good night's sleep. I made sure there were no distortions by giving the fan a thorough cleaning and then lubricating it with some machine oil. There is hardly any noise left at this point. I don't regret buying.
